Our phase 2 of the project focuses on Random Acts of Kindness (ROAK).
During the June holidays, children were exposed to different ways and activities of kindness. They created crafts based on their understanding and they came up with their own kindness pledge to be displayed in class.
As our partnership with parents, children brougt home a few hearts for them to write down any acts of kindness that they did. This activity encouraged children and their families to be part of the kindness project by spreading kindness to people around them.
Children were excited to share their experiences and feelings when they did that random act of kindness. It doensn’t matter how small the act of kindness is because every acts matter. They then paste their hearts on Our Kindness Tree.
Celebrations such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Racial Harmony Day and National Day were weaved into this project for children to learn appreciation, gratitude and empathy.
