This 2021, PCS Jurong West have collaborated the SSDB Project with “Project Good Sam”. The said project will be serving those who are less fortunate and disadvantaged elderly residing at Clementi area. Our Centre has two ways of doing the Project Good Sam: first through Fundraising for Dorcas Home Care, ‘Sponsor-A-Meal’ and second is by Gift Pack Distribution. This project would be in line with the Centre’s celebration of Kindness Week.
We initially launched the project to the parents as we asked for their support in these two gracious ways. The parents responded positively as some have personally handed out their donations to the school. We were able to raise $2,350 for Sponsor-A-Meal and pack 47 gift bags in total.
The children prepared boxes that were placed outside the Centre to gather the donations from their parents. Isn’t it wonderful for children to see their own parents willingly sharing and giving for the less fortunate? What an amazing way to launch our SSDB!
