On Mother’s Day, MapleBear Rochester launched our SSDB Project Dandelion. This project aims to encourage the children to spread love, kindness and happiness to those around them which are values that the Dandelion flower symbolises.
For pre-launch, we sent home SSDB bright orange bucket hats and iron-on patches in the orange bag as a mother-child bonding activity. Mummies were encouraged to decorate the hats with the children.
On the actual day, an array of activities were prepared for children to show love and appreciation to our mummies. We arranged flowers in a lemon and made cards. The school also gave every mother a tub of salad and a cup of ice cold lemonade as a present. We took photos with our mummies when they came to fetch us at the photo booth!
