After much discussion, we decided that one way to kick off our Start Small Dream Big project was to creatively express our commitment and/or goals. Additionally, to inspire the to lead the act of graciousness to our environment, we arranged to have the children’s family involved as well!Our first installment of this project requires the children to work with their family members to creatively decorate a hand pledge template.
Subsequently they are to write a way of how they could keep their environment clean and safe on their hand pledge.
After a good few weeks, the children returned their beautiful masterpieces that they have worked hard on together with their families. Not wanting their efforts go to a waste, we decided to share them with our surrounding neighbourhood as well by displaying them outside our centre’s premises for the public to enjoy (and in hopes that they take heed too).
