As a finale for our SSDB project, our center organised a virtual playdate with Grandparents. Children danced to a Chinese song “左三圈，右三圈” and My Skoolie Song, the participating grandparents were very proud of their little ones performing. We introduced the SSDB president’s challenge and the SSDB activities we did in class, then we played the video of several grandparents teaching simple words in dialects and Mother Tongue languages. We played games via zoom like guessing the Singapore landmark in the past and present and had a lot of fun.
Through this playdate with Grandparents, our parents were convicted to create similar interaction through digital media. In this way, our children can continue to show their care and concern for the elderly around them.
