Our teachers helped to cut the milk jugs and we painted it to give it a new look! Then, we planted the seeds in the soil and watered it daily! We waited for the lettuce and blue pea seeds to sprout and grow.
We can use blue pea flower to make blue pea drink and jelly. We can also make a nyonya pastry, Pulut Tai Tai.
We also plan to harvest the blue pea pods and distribute it to our parents in a take-home-kit. We hope to spread the recycling message and encourage families to grow healthy, edible plants in a sustainable way. In the take-home-kit, we will include recyclables, soil, blue pea pods, blue pea recipes and instructions to grow the blue pea.
