The next part of our project was to have a go at planting our own edibles to help build a sustainable planet. The children were excited and looked forward to the gardening activity, as they prepared the resources for our parental workshop such as the soil, seeds and recyclable decorative materials.
During the term break, we conducted our gardening workshop with the support of our dearest parents. It was heartwarming to see the children engaging actively as they planted the seeds together with their parents and friends! We hoped that through this workshop, our parents and children were able to foster a stronger bond as we continue to restore the planet together!â¤ď¸
â The soil feels so soft! There are rocks in the soil!â
â The seeds are so small! We need to water the seeds later.â
Plant for Earth was a practical and meaningful experience for the children and teachers as we explored planting red spinach using recyclable items such as plastic containers for the pot. Our spinach wilted on the first attempt, however the children PERSEVERED and suggested that we try again using green beans with the help of the teachers!đŞ´
â We haven water our plants! The plants will die if we never water!â
The children demonstrated RESPONSIBILITY as we attempt to water the plants in our edible garden everyday and shower them with love! We hope that our spinach and green beans will continue to grow tall and strong as we help to build a sustainable planet! â¤ď¸đ
