The children had embarked on sustainability gardening as part of our SSDB project.
They were involved in planning and sourcing out materials to be used in our indoor vertical garden.
They worked in groups and used recyclable containers as an alternative for pots and planters.
They selected seeds of common vegetables that can be kept indoors and at the same time can be used for consumption.
The activity was infused with “responsibility”, whereby they were assigned to care for their plants by watering them daily. They also take turns with their friends and ensure daily monitoring of their plant’s growth.
