Phase 3 of the project focuses on ways we can help the environment by practising the 3R - Reduce.
Children had a recap about their trip to MEWRS and what they can remember about reducing and how important it is to reduce paper and plastic usage, food wastage, water and electricity consumption.
The Nursery to Kindergarten 2 children practiced reducing by practising good habits of not wasting water during shower, finishing up their lunch and also making sure that the lights, fans and aircon are switched off everytime we are not in the classroom.
To wrap up phase three of the project, we seek collaboration with parents to snap a photo of their children in action. This is to encourage children to practice the good ways of reducing at home too!
Let’s save water by using a cup of water instead when we brus our teeth!
Let’s save water by using a basin and pail to shower instead.
Let’s switch off the lights when not in used!
Other ways we can reduce electricity is to use fan instead of aircon!
Let’s not waste paper! Make sure we used up the space on the paper when we draw. We can also make crafts from used papers!
