Children to gain appreciation for plants in their world.
-
Children to develop an understanding of how plants grow.
-
Children to learn how plants are used by people.
On 19th April 2017, we started our official gardening journey. With plots of land given to our school, teachers and our children are eager to start planting !! 😀
But before all that, we are first time farmer; hence, a neighbourhood walk to learn more about plants is a MUST!
Children used their senses to observe the different kinds of plants our kind neighbourhood farmers have planted before.
Some plants were familiar - like the papaya, lady’s finger and chilli padi. While children questioned about some unique herbs.
We can’t wait to get our hands DIRTY!!
