Previously, children planted and grew vegetables. As the weeks go by, the vegetables grew taller until it is time for them to be harvested and eaten for lunch.
Auntie cooked a special meal of vegetable stir-fry and it was a perfect lunch of carbohydrates, protein and school-grown delicious vegetables.
As aunty cooked and stir-fried the vegetables, the aroma of the vegetables wafted through the air past the dining room and into the K2 classroom, making our mouth water!
Pictured below, Hong Laoshi serves generous portions of the vegetables into the lunch bowls of the excited children.
K1 getting ready for lunch as the vegetables were placed in their bowls. Their laoshi also sat with them to enjoy lunch together. The N2 children also had a delicious lunch together.
It was a wonderfully delicious time as the children tasted the fruits of their labour. Tune in for the last part as the school organized and participated in a food donation drive 😉
