The SSDB project offers a wonderful way for parental participation. Although it was not easy to engage parents as they may be very busy; we continue to encourage them to come on board!
We are very thankful to have the collaboration of these fathers. They have become a valuable resource and support in our children’s learning journey.
On 7 July 2017, Friday, and 13 July 2017, Thursday, several fathers volunteered to help out with the sandpapering and the spray-painting of the wooden pallets. The children enjoyed having their parents involved and they saw how a community can work together as one- ‘teachers, children and parents’ coming together!
Learning beyond the classroom brings excitement to the children. They had hands-on experience with the sandpaper, feeling the can of spray paint and learning about the importance of wearing protective face mask and hand gloves during the sandpapering process.
The children gave their full attention to the parent’s explanation.
Getting down to work is no mean feat! All the sandpapering…
Yay! We are thankful for our parent volunteers!
