Our trip to St Luke’s was accompanied by a tiny celebration for Father’s Day. We prepared performances of two languages (Chinese and English) and performed it for the elderly who were at the Elderly Day Care Centre. We proceeded to pass the elderly artworks that we prepared in class before allowing the children to also give out their Father’s Day cards to our parent volunteers.
After which, we split ourselves into groups and went to the elderly to play a game of puzzle that the Teachers made. There was a mixture of Father’s Day posters as well as cartoons that the children love.
Before heading back to our centre, we sang ‘You Are My Sunshine’ to the elderly and thank them for accommodating us.
