11th October 2023 marks the closure of our SSDB journey. We invited parents to our centre to highlight to them what children had done throughout this SSDB project. The ceremony started off with a speech by our Centre Principal.
This was followed by a sharing of projects that children were involved in. Teacher shared with parents of heart-warming moments that happened during this visit. For example of an elderly who sat alone right at the back of the centre but went forward to wave goodbye to the children at the end of the visit. In another instant, children received presents as well when they handed out origami flowers in the neighbourhood.
Children then entertained parents with 2 performances. The first was a rendition of SSDB official song, ‘Start Small Dream Big’. Next is a song called, ‘Xie Xie Ni’.
This was followed by a presentation of appreciation certificates to thank parents for their contribution of food items during the SASCO visit in August.
Children had benefited a lot from these SSDB projects. Indeed, they learnt more about caring, sharing and showing kindness to everyone around them.
