We also worked with the community and families on this cultural learning journey.
The K1 and K2 children went on a learning journey to the Indian Heritage Centre and Chinese Heritage Centre respectively, further building on their knowledge about the Indian and Chinese cultures.
We had a community partnership with Sri Warisan under the NAC-AEP programme. The children were in awe of the amazing dance performances put up by the performers, as well as the different ethnic costumes donned by them. The children even participated in a Bhangra Dance together with the performers.
We had parental involvement through Hari Raya virtual visit to a child’s home as well as inviting parents to visit our Museum in school and have them share about their information on the different cultures.
Overall, the children had a deeper understanding on the 4 different ethnic groups in Singapore about their cultures, food, games and costumes etc through different learning experiences! With this, it also marks the end of our SSDB journey in 2023!
