In line with our Centre’s project on “Our Family Our Community” we have collaborated with Woodlands Care Home. We collaborated with them on a planting project on 22 April 2022 in commemoration of Earth Day. The children used tetra packs as pots to promote for their planting to promote sustainability. Our children decorated the tetra packs and planted their own seeds to bring back home and to give to the home residents to do their planting.
Both our children and Woodlands Care Home residents shared photos on their plant’s growth. Here are some photos of the Earth Day project.

During our second collaboration with Woodlands Care Home, we took the opportunity during our Centre’s Kindness Week to have a donation drive from 23 to 27 May 2022. This was to raise awareness in the children and their family on the spirit of giving and sharing. On 2 June 2022, we brought the donated items and handed them over to Ms Rizwana, an officer from Woodlands Care Home.
Ms Rizwana, on behalf of Woodlands Care Home sent us a heartfelt appreciation letter for our collaboration. This SSDB Project has certainly benefitted both our children and our communtiy partner.
