During their Current Issues lesson, the children talked about an article on how a volunteer group donated care packs to the MRT staff and cleaners as a way of showing their appreciation. In line with our SSDB project’s theme “Caring for the Community”, the children learned about how we can also help in our own simple way by making care packs for those people in need. Children learned about the value of appreciation and showing care, concern and kindness towards others. After the discussion, children were aksed to draw their own ‘Care Baskets’ which they shared in class. They were also asked the contents of their ‘Care Baskets’ and to whom they would be giving their ‘Care Baskets” to. Most of them drew hand sanitizers and masks because they said it was to help other people from getting sick with COVID-19.
