As part of greening the environment, the children participated in NParks The One Million Trees movement which aims to restore nature back into Singapore through the planting of more than a million trees across Singapore over the next 10 years. This activity supports the City in Nature initiative under the Singapore Green Plan 2030. The children planted seeds of native trees. They learnt about our native plants, assisted and observed the seed germination. They will care for the tree saplings till they are matured and healthy. These saplings will eventually be transferred to a community nursery for further care. This movement not only allowed the children to plant trees, shared experiences with one another but more importantly take on the role of stewarding the greening of Singapore as well as helping to mitigate climate changes.
