K2 Children had a chance to visit the Singapore Discovery Centre and learn about sources of food , its health benefits , the processes involved in making the food available to the market and finally the importance of growing food through hydroponics . The children actually learnt ,where does the blue color in food comes from? . They observed how the blue pea flower when placed in water, disintegrated its blue color. They had a few hands-on activities on sequencing the processes involved in the production of food. Each child planted his own seeds in the food carrier and finally used their senses to smell , touch and feel the vegetable cut-outs and identify them in the hydroponics garden. It was an amazing experience well liked and enjoyed by the K2s.
