To kickstart our Start Small, Dream Big (SSDB) Project 2019, our school organised an activity named ‘I’m a Little Helper’ on 26 April 2019 for the children. This activity also aimed to celebrate Labour Day, a day set aside in honour of the workers and their contributions.
The children from Nursery 1 to Kindergarten 2 were taught that they could do their part in keeping the school clean and not rely on our school cleaners. Just like what SSDB’s slogan says, “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something”.
The children were divided to take charge of the different sections of the school during the first part of the activity. They cleaned the equipment, tables, chairs, toys and musical instruments in the Indoor Play Area, Living Skills Area, Art Room and Music Room. For the second half of the activity, all children returned to their classrooms to clean up the furniture and toys.
Stay tune for our second activity where we involve parent volunteers and teachers to guide our children in completing different kinds of art work for our Charity Art Exhibition!
