My First Skool @ Admiralty Link celebrated National Day in conjuction with our Start Small Dream Big initiative on 5th August 2019! We started off the sunny morning with a mass workout, moving to our catchy National Day dance numbers. Parents from all levels from Toddler to K2 joined us in our workout held at the basketball court @ Jelutung Harbour Park.
Our K1 and K2 children set off to clear dried leaves and twigs around the park as a kind and appreciative gesture to our community helpers as well as our environment. They worked in small groups to pick them up more effectively before collecting them in a cardboard box. Instead of disposing them, the children creatively made use of the leaves and twigs to make iconic places of Singapore on cardboards such as Marina Bay Sands and the Singapore Flyer! Nice work children!
To end off the celebration, the children participated in an obstacle course mainly created with recycled materials such as newspaper and cardboard! We inventively created fireman ladders, balls and hoops along with the children. This is in hopes of creating awareness of the many uses of recyclable materials around us.
Let’s continue our quest to be kind to our environment!
