Since 2019, My First Skool at Potong Pasir has been working closely with NTUC Health Day Centre for Seniors (TOA PAYOH). Last year, the previous batch of K1 and K2 students visited the elderly in the facility to interact and reach out to them. They participated in activities with the elderly and to understand more about their needs. Similar to 2019, we have continued our partnership with NTUC Health Senior Day Care. Due to the current pandemic situation, we have maintained our interaction and communication with the elderly via ZOOM conferences on a bi-weekly basis.
This year, we are glad to be part of ECDA’s initiative entitled “ Start Small Dream Big”. In this project, we have partnered with NTUC Health Senior Day Care through a Donation Drive. We have worked with NTUC Health Senior Day Care and have understood that the elderly may require essential items which will better support them in their daily routine.
Through this project, children were given a valuable opportunity to learn about the pivotal value of sharing and giving.
Both our parents and children were very supportive in this Donation Drive. They contributed essential items such as toiletries, cereals, interactive board games as well as writing stationery. Children excitedly involved themselves with the necessary categorising and packing of items prior to the despatching of these items to NTUC Health Senior Day Care.
We are thankful to the parents and children for their immense efforts and generous contributions towards the elderly of NTUC Health Senior Day Care.
