Teachers and children of My First Skool Admiralty Link embarked on a mission to show kindness and make a difference by collecting dry food like Milo, milk powder and biscuits to share with the residents of Saint Luke’s Eldercare @Bukit Timah through parental involvement. These items were exchanged for coupons that can be used at the Family Day 2017.
At the same time, teachers inculcate the value of kindness through storytelling and encouraging caring and sharing among the children. Children made pledges to do something meaningful like helping their parents or taking care of the environment.

As children reiterated “I CAN DO SOMETHING”
Children from nursery,K1 and K2 set about making items for craft booth set up at the family day carnival. Nursery children baked cookies which were later placed in baskets, the K1 children made bookmarks and K2 children made stress balls.
Parents and children had fun playing games and purchasing items at the various booths set up by teachers. Parents with children in infant care up to K2 participated in making the family day a success.
The representative from Saint Luke’s Eldercare came by our centre and with the help of the K2 children collected all the donated item that the children had received for the charity drive. The Kindergarten children presented gifts made by them to the old folks during their visit. They also join in the activities conducted at the eldercare centre.
