On 27th February 2024, our school conducted a talk for the K1 and K2 children. They were engaged in a discussion about preventing Aedes mosquitoes at school. Teachers collborated with Nparks to raise awareness on mosquito prevention. They explored the characteristics and behaviours of Aedes mosquitoes and gained insights into various mosquito-borne diseases along with their symptoms, highlighting the importance of community involvement in mosquito prevention endeavours.
The children actively participated and expressed their thoughts and opinions during the presentation, engaging with videos illustrating the life- threatening consequences of dengue fever when not promptly identified.
The K2 children crafted visually appealing awareness posters for displaying around the school premises.
The K1 children conducted a school perimeter inspection to pinpoint potential breeding sites and eliminated any stagnant water sources.
Let’s do out part in preventing mosquito breeding!
