Reflection helps us become better individuals. Through reflection, we gain a better understanding of ourselves and raise our self-awareness.
Teachers from MOE Kindergarten @ Springdale believe in the importance of reflection and thus allocated time to facilitate the reflection process with the children to help them with their relationship building with their peers.
Children reviewed the experience of their first visit to AWWA and refined their shoebox tasks for their peers. Children problem-solved in small groups on ways to help their peers. After the review process, children counted down the number of days to their second visit.
Greeted with a warm welcome, children embraced one another and began their circle time activities. Children’s laughter filled the rooms in AWWA during the songs and games before proceeding onto the shoebox activities.
Children from MOE Kindergarten @ Springdale were able to engage their peers from AWWA in the games with minimal facilitation from the adults in the room. Children from MOE Kindergarten @ Springdale provided their peers from AWWA with two options to choose from or guided them by holding onto their hands. They were able to respectfully converse with their peers, too.
