Wearing mismatched socks is a worldwide known activity for raising awareness about Down Syndrome (DS). In our school, the children were encouraged to wear mismatched socks for a week to show their care and support for their friends with DS. As a form of creative expression, K1 and K2 eagerly created their own mismatched socks by decorating templates of socks and illustrating their colourful patterns!
Meanwhile, the N2A and N2B children created Down Syndrome Awareness Ribbons that they placed in their respective classrooms to remind them of what our SSDB project is all about.
