This year we celebrated Mid-Autumn Festival a little differently. Unlike last year where we invited our parents to the centre to participate in the school activities, our children still can have their little celebration in their class.
Our Nursery 2 children celebrated Mid -Autumn Festival by making their own lanterns using recyclables as well as making snow skin moon cake under the guidance of their teachers.
The recycled materials used were plastic cups and cupcake liners that were from previous projects. Together with some other scrap craft materials, the children were able to put together their unique and beautiful lanterns. And on the day of the celebration, they enjoyed walking around in the classroom with their lanterns in the dark whilst reciting Chinese poems and singing Chinese songs related to the festival. It was a day filled with joy and excitement.
