Together with TOUCH Community Services, SKC have partnered again this year to touch and impact the lives of beneficiaries in the community. The children learnt about the spirit of giving as teachers shared about TOUCH Giving Hong Bao’s annual donation drive.
The teachers conducted presentations, introducing TOUCH to the children to help them understand the impact they can have on members of the community, emphasizing that “no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”. As the donation drive goes cashless this year, the children learned to donate online though our iPad!
The children were exposed to the members of community such as the elderly, children form needy families as well as adults with learning disabilities in our community in which they can make a difference to.
They were also engaged in learning more about how these individuals will benefit from the donations given. The children reflected on their own blessings as well and shared about how they can give back to the community.
The younger children were also invited to be involved in the event as they practiced giving their peers hong baos to inculcate the spirit of giving!
