On 30th of June 2017, our center celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with our special guests- Our Lovely Grandparents. On this special event, they donned on their festive costumes to commemorate this special day with the children!
At the start of the event, Teacher Dayah and Teacher Mary shared about the significance of Hari Raya with the children!
“We must fast so that we can remember the poor”. Thank you grandma for sharing with the children about the significance of fasting!
During the session, Teacher Dayah and Teacher Mary performed a skit emphasising on the importance of respecting and seeking forgiveness.
We would like to thank Shafarell for graciously agreeing to demonstrate the act of seeking forgiveness from our Grandparents! We hope that through the skit, the children would learn to admit their mistakes and ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoings.
“Watch my dance moves Grandpa and Grandma!” The children from across the levels put in their heart to perform a magnificent performance for their grandparents. After weeks of practice, catch us in action!
Our Grandparents are indeed talented and supportive! Regardless of the different races and languages, it was heartwarming to see that the grandparents volunteered to take part in the following games: Fill the ketupat, Guess the Kuih, Amazing Ketupat race. Filled with determination, the children completed the games together with their grandparents.
Congratulations to our winners! Without the help of the grandparents, the games would have been challenging for the children. We hope that the children would always be thankful for the littlest things that their grandparents do for them!
After the activities and performances, the grandparents enjoyed a spread of Hari Raya dishes such as Lontong, Nasi Briyani prepared by our wonderful support staffs.
All smiles for the camera! The grandparents had a good time interacting with one another and making new friends! We are sure that this is an eye-opening experience for the children to value and respect their grandparents. We hope that the day was enjoyable and memorable for the children and the grandparents! ❤️️
