On 8 August 2019, the K1 and K2 children with the teachers donned our National Colours as part of our celebration for Singapore’s 54th birthday. Prior to the start of the celebration, the children recalled and reflected on how they displayed their love for Singapore by cleaning up East Coast Park.
As the children recalled the outing, some of the children shared how they felt when they saw pieces of trash lying around the park and how we can keep Singapore clean.
The children revisited the pledge they made previously, and promised to uphold to them by taking the pledge once more.
To round off the project, every child wrote their birthday wishes for Singapore on a pledge card and with it, they formed the Singapore landmarks – the Merlion and Singapore Changi Airport Control Tower.
