The month of August is notably marked as one of the most significant times of the year in Singapore, due to the fact that Singaporeans come together to celebrate National Day and pay tribute to the nation’s 57th year of independence.
The celebration started off with children singing the National Anthem, reciting the pledge and dancing to the groove through the ‘Dance to the Nation’ workout. A heartfelt song ‘We are Singapore’ was then performed by the children with beaming joy and pride as they wave their flags.
The event also highlighted an astonishing ‘Landscape Art’ done by the children. They decorated cliparts of iconic Singapore landmarks using aesthetics, putting altogether to showcase a stunning landscape. They took a moment to reflect on things that they love about Singapore and verbally expressed their appreciation towards various renowned landmarks and multicultural ethnic groups which makes Singapore a melting pot of cultures.
