Our school did a litter picking activity on 30th May 2018 as our first phase of the SSDB project. The Nursey 2, kindergarten 1 and kindergarten 2 went around the neighborhood to pick up litter to keep the environment clean and green and at the same time to learn what items can be recycled.
The children were given tongs and gloves for hygiene purposes. Each class was given a black and blue plastic bags to throw the litter into. The black bag was for litters that are not able to recycle and the blue bag was for litters that can be recycled.
Here are some pictures of the children picking up litters and sorting them accordingly to recyclable and non-recyclable ones.
Once they were done, the children went to dispose it in the bins. For the blue plastic bag, they disposed it in the blue recycling bin. For the black plastic bag, they disposed in the green bin.
