Children visited Ren Ci elderly home to spend time with the residents and play games.
They started warming up by dancing the Chicken Dance song. Both elderly and children enjoyed dancing to the song together.
They also had passing the ball activity to develop their gross motor skills. The children went nearer to the elderly to pass them the ball as some of the elderly are wheelchair bound. They also eagerly help to pick up the balls when they roll to the floor.
They then worked together to keep the ball on the parachute. The elderly were guiding the children on went to lift up their side of the parachute so the ball will not drop to the floor.
Lastly, they had a team battle - the Superman vs Spider-Man battle. They were divided into 2 teams and had to pass a basket of bean bags from one point to another. They had to work on their teamwork and agility.
The interaction they had while engaging in the activity had brought smiles to the elderly and children. The children did not want to leave Ren Ci and wanted to have more activities there!
