Carpe Diem Schoolhouse @ Toa Payoh held our first ever Start Small Dream Big Launch Party on 14th April 2022. Our K2 children and the elderly from Care Corner Active Ageing Hub as well as parents were all present on this special day.
This year we aim to provide opportunities for our children to build social awareness when communicating with the adults, to learn social skills while engaging with the adults and to build a positive attitude towards the adults. We also aim to give children the opportunity to learn and have a better understanding of giving back and showing care to the community.
During the launch, the K2 children performed songs in English and Chinese to lighten up the mood and encourage everyone to groove. The children together with the elderly made a big poster saying, “Let’s care and play!” as a promise to always help each other as we embark on our journey in this collaboration project.
