Our K2 children discovered new knowledge on the visually challenged individuals in our society. The children experienced the challenges faced by the individuals through planned activities specifically designed for them.
One of the activities we did was to design a kit to help in identifying individuals who are coloured blind. The children used the kits to “test” their peers and teachers in the centre.
Can u see the numbers?
As they did the activity, the children realised that the colours they chose had to camouflage the numbers on their cards. When we were finally done, we tested the kit again with our classmates.
This activity taught us to be grateful to be able to see colours and to take good care of our eyes.
