On our continuous quest to save the Earth, we embarked on a new project through our SSDB 2019 theme: Learning the Kampong Ways: Our Small Steps to Protect the Earth from Climate Change. Children is made aware that our Earth is warming up fast, the way human being live their lives is causing this world to get hotter and hotter.
We launched this year’s SSDB project on 12th April with variety of awareness activities to inspire the children to carry their mission to fight against climate change. Their mission is to discover and adopt some of Kampong ways of living to help make the Earth green again.
Comparing Our Earth Then and Now
Children saw 2D representations of how earth looks like many years ago and how it looks like now. Children were able to easily identify the differences as they compared the two and learnt how human beings have changed the appearance of our world over the years. They made a conscious choice that they preferred the greener Earth.
