As children are interested in learning about plants, we used this opportunity to teach them about plants and ways to care for it. During outdoors, they would observe the different plants in our environment and learn about the different parts of plant. There were also discussion about how we can care for plants. Through the different activities planned for the children, they gained knowledge and awareness about plants in their environment. Whenever they learned something new, they would share it with their friends or family members.
Furthermore, the children learned about how we can turn food waste into food compost. Composting is the natural process of decomposition that turns organic materials like garden waste and vegetable food scraps into a dark, crumbly and earthy smelling material called compost. Compost is rich in nutrients and is great for your garden, shrubs or even indoor potted plants. It is also a good for the environment, where we turned waste into something useful for the plants! It was such an interesting and enjoyable process!
