A wonderful start to our SSDB Project for 2018! MOE Kindergarten @ Fernvale Link kickstarted our second SSDB project with Methodist Welfare Services - Senior Activity Centre.
For SSDB 2018, we are focusing on developing care and love, while incorporating new art skills with our dearest senior citizens from Methodist Welfare Services - Senior Activity Centre.
The theme of our project is ‘Imaginative Little Ones’ where children get opportunities to create artwork through different mediums with the senior citizens. We believe in building a meaningful relationship with the senior citizens. Therefore, children will be visiting senior citizens every month to create masterpieces together. These masterpieces are all about building friendship between a preschooler and senior citizen.
The senior citizens are as excited as we are! They will also be participating by doing a short session of ‘Show and Tell’ during every visit. These ‘Show and Tell’ sessions allows the senior citizens to bring in photos of themselves growing up and also talk about their favourite place in Singapore. Not only children will get to know them better but they also get to know Singapore better.
