In the month of July 2021, children from Kinderland Preschool @ Woodlands Mart began their Start Small Dream Big project. They reflected on the situation of the pandemic and learnt that there are many community helpers, like cleaners, doctors and nurses, who make the community a healthier and safer place for everyone. The children and teachers worked together to make a care pack for the community helpers in Woodlands Mart.
The Kindergarten 1 children baked cookies and coloured the kindness keychain while the Kindergarten 2 children wrote ‘thank you’ cards in different languages. Children from both levels then packed their cookies, orange juices, keychains and cards into a care pack and their teacher went around the area to give them out. Through this project, the children demonstrated empathy, kindness and respect to the community helpers around us.
