Our centre’s theme for this year’s SSDB project is: ‘Kindness is a superpower’. We aim to encourage children to start, show and share kindness.
The children will be exploring and participating in various discussions, events and activities to inculcate kindness and graciousness. The events includes Hari Raya, Grandparents’ Day, Racial Harmony Day etc.
For Hari Raya, we collaborated with Fei Yue Senior Centre as shared below:
The N2 children created a ‘ Selamat Hari Raya’ banner for Fei Yue Senior Centre. They enjoyed decorating the banner using pictures they coloured. They were taught of the importance of showing kindness to all the people around them. The children were excited to present this banner for the elderly.
The K1 children expressed their warmest greetings and wishes through cards they have created for Hari Raya.
The K2 children were excited to create wall decorations for Fei Yue Senior Centre. They worked diligently to paint the decorations and hanging mobiles. The children also enjoyed creating ketupat decorations through paper weaving technique.
