As we embark this year with our Start Small Dream Big Project, children were introduced to the theme “Kindness Around Us”. Here are some of the activities we have done so far.
Upcycling
In this activity, children understood that Kindness can also be shown to our mother earth. They learnt the term “Upcycling” and understood that they can re-use things creatively just like these plastic bottles that they have brought and now they will be using it as a flower pot. They patiently painted and decorated their very own flower pots.
Every Plant Counts In collaboration with parents, they have contributed soil and seeds which children will be using in their planting. They understood that plants are really important for the planet and for all living things.
Kindness in the Community Children learnt to identify and segregate recyclable materials and make sure keep our community clean.
Kindness to the Community Helpers
With the help of our parents, we were able to collect dry goods to be contributed to our community helpers like our streets sweepers, gardeners, and construction workers.
