In Kidz Meadow Eunos, we believed that children are never too young to learn the value of sharing and having a H.E.A.R.T. for others. As we intended to continue making a difference and to give back to the community, Kidz Meadow Eunos launched 2021 SSDB Project last 23rd April.
In line with this year’s theme “Stay Connected, Make A Difference”, we came up with a tagline “Have a H.E.A.R.T. Lend a Hand” where the H.E.A.R.T represents Humble, Empathy, Ability, Responsibility and Thoughtful, respectively.
Our main beneficiary for this year’s project will be the residents from Pertapis Senior Citizen Fellowship Home.
Prior to the launching , our parents did their part to introduce their children about the importance of staying connected with their loved ones in the midst of pandemic. They had also shared pictures of their children connecting with their loved ones through video calls that were shared during the launch. Our children had also prepared pre-recorded performances, exercises and H.E.A.R.T.ful messages for the residents and staffs of Pertapis Senior Citizen Fellowship Home.
Our teachers and children also took part in making our SSDB banner and decorations using recycled materials.
Our launch started with an opening speech by Teacher Nurhidah and a presentation about our 2021 SSDB project. During the presentation, the children were introduced to our beneficiary and the importance of keeping in touch with their loved ones especially in current COVID-19 situation. They were shown some pictures of their peers connecting with their loved ones and were introduced to some ways to stay connected with their relatives snd friends. Our programme ended with wonderful performances by the N2, K1, and K2 children.
This is just the beginning of our journey towards making a difference. We will strive to help each other as “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something”.
