Our K2 children started the ‘Keep it green! Keep it clean!’ project through a kindness day activity. Children were introduced to the value of Kindness through different fun activities.
The following day, we talked about ways on how we can show kindness in the environment. Children list their plan of activities in their journal and celebrated the project launch with teachers and friends in class. Children became little green ambassadors and named our project, ‘Keep it green, keep it clean!’
On the first day of our Keep it green, ‘keep it clean!’ project, children learnt about recycling. They sorted recycled items they have brought from home and used it to create different objects.
The following day, children visited a farm to learn more about plants and its importance in the environment.
After learning about plants, we created our own vegetable garden in school. Children planted tomatoes, chili, and mint in their own little pots.
Our future caretakers of the earth really did a great job during this learning journey. They had fun and enjoyed keeping the environment green and clean!
