Our centre participated in the ‘Keep Clean, Singapore!’ 2017 launch, organized by the Public Hygiene Council. Led by our staff, the children, from the Toddler Class to K2, performed a clean-up drive around the neighbourhood. They were excited to make the neighbourhood clean and litter-free. Parents were also invited to join in this meaningful activity.
Armed with tongs and gloves, we picked up cigarette buds, litter, twigs, dried leaves, empty bottles, plastic bags, food wrappers and many more. The ‘litter’ collected were placed in different coloured bags, distinguishing between ‘Recyclables’ and ‘Non-recyclables’. We also weighed the amount of trash collected.
