Grandparents play a major role in the children’s lives. Majority of the children from K1 class would go home to home-cooked meals prepared by the grandparents for family dinners.
To continue our school’s efforts in appreciating grandparents, the kindergarten 1 children decided to invite their grandparents over for dinner in school.
Inspired by the vibrant dynamics of the class, we decided to set up a K1 Rainbow cafe with menus that would serve for dinner.
Children helped out in the making of the dessert as well as the decorations needed for the cafe.
With help from everyone at the centre, our K1 Rainbow Cafe was ready to receive guests on 18 August.
Children took on different roles to take orders and serve food to their grandparents.
The children were thrilled to have their grandparents over for dinner and were excited to show them their favourite places in school. :)
We thank the grandparents for their overwhelming support and spending time with their grandchildren in school.
