The children had a discussion on their desired pets and how to get a pet. They were introduced to animal shelters and the concept of adoption.
They read a book “The Grumpy Pets” and the e-book “Yoda: The Story of a Cat and His Kittens”. These stories helped them to understand more about adopting pets.
They brainstormed about their desired pet after the discussion. The children’s next task was to draw it out! They were given papers, stationaries and encouragement to draw freely.
They shared about their artworks to their friends and talked about the different settings, their pets are in.
Eu Kiat from N2 said, “I want this cat,’ as he drew.
Moses said, “Look at the cat and the dog and the fish. So many pets!”
Joel said, “See my bird fly so high in the clouds.”
The children enjoyed the activity and loved discussing about their desired pets!
