The ‘Start Small Dream Big” movement aspires to nurture each child holistically, including character building so that they can succeed individually in life and become responsible citizens who care about those people around them. Through “Start Small Dream Big”, young children are encouraged to use their own resources to give back to society, and in the process, instil the spirit of giving and good values such as care for others, humility, kindness and compassion.
This year, our K1 children planted vegetables in our very own hydroponic garden. We planted spinach and as the children embarked on this journey, they were so excited, looking forward for the harvesting. From planting, harvesting, packaging and even making special cards to express their love, care, respect and appreciation to the elderly at Irene Nursing Home.
It is a meaningful journey for children to learn that “No work is too small for anyone and No effort is spared to bring a smile on someone we cared”.
