Marking the end of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan is the festival of Eid also known in Singapore as Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa. Ramadan is a period of sober repentance for Muslims, with approximately 30 days of dawn-to-dusk fasting. On 14th June 2019, Skool4Kidz @Sengkang Riverside Campus held a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration to expose the infants to the tradition and for them to understand what it meant for those who observed this custom. They participated in the celebration by putting on traditional costumes while parents had a feast on the different Hari Raya goodies that were usually eaten during the festival.
Parents and infants posed together for photos with the photobooth that was created by Ms Fazirah. The Beebies had a finger painting activity which they decorated the printed ketupat template. They had fun making a beautiful mess!
“Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all! To be present with your loved ones during this joyous occasion is the greatest gift of all. May you enjoy this festive season with your families have a happy holiday!
