On the 19th April 2024, our centre celebrated Hari Raya. Hari Raya Aidilfitri is more than just a celebration of food and fun. The purpose of the celebration is to embrace diversity, promote cultural understanding, and create more inclusive and respectful learning experiences to all children in different ages. During the celebration, the non-Muslim children learnt about Islamic culture, values, and do self-reflection. Teachers prepared engaging booths to execute activities for the children such as playing of traditional games, ketupat weaving and many more.
The N1 children presented a Raya dance to their parents. Afterwards, they walked around the carpark to explore the different booths, such as henna art, making of honey cornflakes and many more!
Children were engaged in activities at the different booths, such as sampul treasure hunt, ketupat weaving, traditional games and introduction to Malay culture.
Children were dressed in traditional costumes to lighten up the celebration and get in the festive mood. They showcased their outfit to their peers through fashion show.
We wish you a joyous Hari Raya!
