As the garden grows, so does the gardener.
PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Serangoon Blk 125 (kn) is having a project called ‘Growing Is Love’. This project allows children to grow plants from seeds, take care of them while the plants grow into an adult plant.
To tie the project with the centre’s virtue project, the teachers hope to cultivate a sense of responsibility in the children as they take care and watch the plants grow.
The project also provide an opportunity to collaborate with our RC members. We definitely needed someone to train our green fingers!
Wearing the SSDB 2017 hat, the children were ready to learn and discover the world of plants with the RC members!
Feeling the earth with their hands, the children got to understand how seeds are being planted.
One of the children from N2 had a chance to help the RC member remove weeds from the garden. Even though it was a small gesture, the RC members appreciated it!
The children had fun touring the RC members’ garden. There were many things to learn and our school is looking forward to making this project a success!
